A young South London Rap artist needed an image to promote himself and his debut album with all tracks penned by himself. Literally walking in off the street, the brief was open to interpretation but needed to mix the rawness of Rap with a visual up market quality.
To create a logo that echoed the visual imagery associated with Rap music while adding a ‘Bling’ style quality to the look. The logo would then be used on his debut album and subsequent advertising material.
Utilising graffiti art to create a motif and by applying this within a bespoke shape to echo a gold medallion piece of jewellery, the result was an elegant solution that conquered the raw and the refined. A simple solution that was adaptable and successful on posters and the debut CD.
