The Oakbridge Federation encourages, as well as promotes, the very best traditional values. They pride ourselves on their ability to achieve better than average results across the board. Crucial to this success is the excellent behaviour and positive thinking that they actively encourage from all their pupils. Above all else, they have high expectations of not just the pupils but also the staff. Achieving high levels of reading, writing and mathematics for all their pupils are key priorities.
The school’s nurturing commitment in encouraging their children to persevere in their aspirations, show respect to others, be responsible learners and to always try their best is paramount to life at Oakbridge.
The Challenge
To bring together two seperate schools, Rangefield and Forster Park, under the same banner of Oakbridge Federation while retaining their individual personalties and their seperate sites. The two schools are to be known as Oakbridge Federation, the umbrella organisation, and the schools known as Rangefield Campus and Forster Park Campus. Pylon had to create one flexible logo that could be used for both schools and be easily recognisable for each campus.
The Solution
Firstly, Pylon had to work on how to define the two schools under the one organisation. Colour was the simplist and most effective solution. Blue and red were chosen for the two campuses and silver for the umbrella organisation. Appropriate oak based illustrations were developed to use as the centre of the logo in neutral colours that worked with the three chosen corporate colours. The type wrapped around the circular image held in by a round keyline. This device could then be interchangeable by using the three relevant corporate colours for each of the versions.
