In Loving Memory are a new small business offering bespoke Order of Service Funeral Booklets.

It’s not easy when we lose someone special and, at this time of grief, making arrangements can be difficult. In Loving Memory provide a unique service, advising and creating a beautiful Order of Service Funeral Booklet that is both personal and a fitting tribute to our loved ones that you will want to keep and treasure as a beautiful lasting memento.

The Challenge

Funerals are never easy occasions to attend or to organise. Pylon Design were asked to design and produce a bespoke, beautiful Order of Service Funeral Booklet to represent the recently deceased and encourage a range of emotions from the reader – to smile, laugh, cry and create interesting talking points about their life.

Unlike many funerals around this time, the family and friends were able to celebrate the life of Freda together as the Covid restrictions were lifted. The bespoke booklet had to reflect the eclectic life of this extraordinary, interesting and muched loved lady who was known by everyone in her home area of Penge, South East London.

The Solution

Having passed away at the age of 98, Freda had lived a long and interesting life that Pylon Design and In Loving Memory wanted to celebrate in a memorable booklet that was full of her memories and zest for life.

Freda’s eclectic interests included, nature, gardening, wildlife (particularly butterflies), cats and dogs, charity shops, painting, hats, fairies, flowers, the opera, poetry, cycling, trifles, polyword quizzes, little pottery figures and her heroine – Lauren Bacall. This was a vast array of material and Pylon Design wanted to use as much as possible to really give an insight into this interesting lady.

Using a recycled paper stock and textured backgrounds, the design reflected the eclectic nature of Freda’s life. The final booklet was full of interest and talking points which were brought up during the service. This truly was a bespoke booklet that represented what Freda was all about and a fitting tribute to her life.
