Front cover of Barbara Grays Order of service booklet

In Loving Memory are a new small business offering bespoke Order of Service Funeral Booklets.

It’s not easy when we lose someone special and, at this time of grief, making arrangements can be difficult. In Loving Memory provide a unique service, advising and creating a beautiful Order of Service Funeral Booklet that is both personal and a fitting tribute to our loved ones that you will want to keep and treasure as a beautiful lasting memento.

The Challenge

Funerals are never easy occasions to attend or to organise. Pylon Design were asked to design and produce a bespoke, beautiful Order of Service Funeral Booklet to represent the recently deceased that was both simple and elegant. There would be a memorial booklet to be handed out to guests at the wake which would celebrate the life of Barbara, encouraging a range of emotions from the reader whilst creating interesting talking points about her long and happy life.

The Solution

Barbara lived a full and wonderful life with an array of hobbies and interests that made her such a loving and interesting person. Pylon Design and In Loving Memory wanted to incorporate her style in the bespoke Order of Service booklet that embodied this elegant lady and her love of life.

The use of a black and white image that looked like an old 1940’s film photograph, typified the elegance of Barbara on the front cover. Placed on a white background with simple typography in gold and grey, really made the image stand out. Barbara was a keen gardener and Pylon Design incorporated beautiful watercolour illustrations, with a few photographs of Barbara, to add a dash of colour while retaining the simplicity and cleanliness of the overall feel.
