Brand led and fun approach to Haseltine's prospectus by Pylon Design

Haseltine Primary is a school in partnership with Fairlawn Primary school. Staff, governors and children work together to harness each other’s strengths and expertise so that children are offered the best possible education.

At Haseltine they aim to create a happy school where the learning atmosphere is relaxed and conducive to high attainment. They believe that every child should learn the skills for life long learning and be supported to develop as good citizens who contribute fully to their community. For the children to reach their full potential they need to work in partnership with their parents, carers and colleagues. Helping children to do their best is vital and Haseltine will work in partnership with everyone so that they all understand what children are learning and are able to achieve.

The Challenge

To promote the school and encourage parents to visit and see for themselves the good work going on at Haseltine and ultimately send their children to the school. A strong corporate brand echoing the new school logo and uniform were to be prominent in the prospectus demonstrating a learning environment within a happy atmosphere.

The Solution

Pylon commissioned the photography to focus on the children enjoying their school activities in a very natural manner. Pylon used the photographs large and small supported by supplied copy and a range of educational quotes. A bold use of the logo and new illustrations of the owl created in different poses, endorsed the brand further. A pocket was added to the cover enabling the school to insert additional documents as required. A huge success and the school is now over subscribed, unfortunately having to turn children away from attending.
