A subsidiary of a larger film organisation, Codex Pictures was formed to handle smaller independant film projects for both the small and large screens.
The Challenge
To develop a logo that had to work with the parent company identity and stand alone as the smaller subsidiary grew. A simple, modern, progressive look was required that could be used on printed items but could also be transferred onto the screen in digital format.
The Solution
A largely typographical concept using a modern typeface and given an embossed illustrative approach out of a metallic background. Placed within a lozenge shape this gave the logo a badge-like look that could be used like a sign-off. The black/silver/grey appearance gave the logo a strong identity with a professional and state-of-the-art look.
